You're doing it for yourself -- it's not branded for your clients.

The Godin's article is recommending business people do this for themselves. Offering neighborhood email news templates that can be customized to appear they originated with the client (vs. originating from TWN) is more to the point of the story.

You could offer category-specific newsletter -- a newsletter on cooking, health, police beat, politics, business, classifieds, sports, etc. and offer these mostly single-column content pieces as "email newsletters" that can be branded for the advertiser and merely sourcing TWN as the content source. Think of it as akin to newspapers featuring content from the Associated Press. The newspaper says DISPATCH all over it, the article merely has AP credit in the byline.
